THQ Extends UFC License To 2018

Danny Bilson, Executive VP of Core Games at THQ has announced today that they are 'very excited to extend our relationship with Zuffa and the Ultimate Fighting Championship'.

What this means at it's simplest is that THQ have the rights to publish new UFC games until 2018, at which point the licensing will expire. Dana White, President of the UFC is very pleased with the commitment THQ has shown so far:

THQ has delivered the quality demanded by UFC and its fans with the first two Undisputed(TM) games and we are about to broaden the UFC brand experience among gaming fans through social and mobile apps, We are impressed by the passion that THQ brings to making great games and we look forward to working together to create even greater gaming experiences for our fans in the future.
I think we can safely expect a yearly UFC title for the foreseeable future in this case, and for THQ to make full use of it's ability to push mobile games and DLC.
