TA Competition: Spring Clean Giveaway Week Four

By Dave Horobin, 1 year ago
Firstly I'd like to apologise for the late posting of this week's giveaway. Internet problems at home meant I couldn't get online yesterday to do it. That coupled with the fact that E3 starts on Monday means that the competition will be open for a shorter period than normal.

The game on offer this week is a PAL Xbox 360 copy of Assassin's Creed Rogue which was released in November of last year.

AC Rogue

Our long serving Newshound manger, punkyliar, covered our review, and awarded the game a score of 3.5 out of 5.

Aside from a few visual bugs and the odd agile guard that hasn't yet worked out how to climb down a ladder, players can spend many unhindered hours doing what Assassins Templars do best in Assassin's Creed Rogue. The main issue is that it has borrowed so much from Black Flag. What should have been a definitive sendoff for the franchise on the Xbox 360 has fallen a bit flat due to its recycled and somewhat stale nature. Don't get me wrong, Rogue is a perfectly playable title and will please completionists with its achievements, but you are left wishing for some of that innovation that its Unity counterpart received when you are faced with the same things over and over again. As always this competition is open to everyone, but by posting an entry in the thread, we assume that you have a PAL Xbox 360 to allow you to play the game.

For your chance to get hold of the game, leave us a comment in the thread below before 2PM GMT on Monday June 15th.

Good luck!
