Initial Backwards Compatibility Titles Revealed

Microsoft have released further details about the games that will be available with the backwards compatibility beta which starts for Xbox preview program members today.

The initial list contains 21 titles in total, with more being added over the coming months. The complete list can be seen below.

Does backward compatibility cost extra?
Xbox One Backward Compatibility is free and allows you to play select Xbox 360 games you already own on Xbox One.

When will backward compatibility be available?
Xbox One Backward Compatibility is available starting today for Xbox Preview members. It will launch broadly in fall 2015.

How do I get into the Xbox Preview program?
The Xbox Preview program is by invitation only. If your friends are already in the program, they can invite you by using the “Invite friends” page in the Xbox Preview Dashboard app.

Is Xbox Live Gold required for backward compatibility?
Xbox Live Gold is not required for Xbox One Backward Compatibility. However, it is required for any standard Xbox Live Gold feature like online multiplayer.
