Indie publisher Curve Digital has acquired rights to publish Fiddlesticks’ new 2D adventure in colour, Hue
, on all platforms in 2016. Hue
is a puzzle platformer where the aesthetics aren’t just for looks, as they affect the gameplay as well.
The titular character, Hue, acquires the colour ring, a tool that lets him change how colour is perceived. Hue will use this ability to navigate the world, shifting individual colours to alternate hues (that’s other colours, not other versions of himself) to reveal paths, navigate obstacles and threats, battle foes, maneuver platforming puzzles, and more.
All of this will serve as a means to an end, rescuing Hue’s mother, who has become trapped in the mono world, with the evil Doctor Gray in power. Check out the initial trio of screenshots below.Hue
is planned for a 1st quarter 2016 release on Xbox One.
