Xbox One Backward Compatibility Coming in November

By Marc Caccamise, 1 year ago
Backward compatibility was one of the biggest announcements at Microsoft's E3 conference earlier this year, with the promise of over 100 games available by the holiday season. While members of the Xbox Preview Program have been testing out this functionality for awhile now, Microsoft announced during their Gamescom conference that the feature will be available to everyone in November for free.

The Xbox Games with Gold program also received a little more value, as it was announced that all future Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be playable on the Xbox One. For gamers who may have sold their Xbox 360 consoles after the release of the One, this means more games per month to download thanks to the program. The backward compatibility feature still has a ways to go before hitting the 100 games mark, but new titles like Gears of War and Shadow Complex have recently joined the list.
