Microsoft Beta Testing Full House Poker

Do you remember at E3 2008, when Microsoft announced a brand new Primetime Channel for the Xbox 360 that would offer live game shows and real prizes for your gaming?

We saw, and then... uh... nothing. And after that was confirmed as dead back in July, it seemed like the Primetime Channel was gone for good. But thankfully, it's not!

A leaked, confidential email sent out by Microsoft Game Studios has announced a beta for an upcoming live show entitled Full House Poker. The email reads as follows:

Microsoft Game Studios is gearing up for the Beta release of our latest groundbreaking title, Full House Poker, and we need you to take a seat at the table and bet your way to fame as you compete against your friends and thousands of other players around the world in live Texas Heat poker game shows.

Texas Heat is an exciting and fun new way to play with lots of surprises and more ways to win! With every regularly scheduled episode, you'll be able to bet, raise, and bluff your way to the top table. Be bold and earn big rewards like massive XP and chips for your bankroll. Every show is a new chance to play, win, and compete against thousands of players around the world.

With Full House Poker, you'll be able to bring your personality to the table with unique tells and avatar accessories, and you'll even be able to save your progression and winnings as you track your rise to the top of the leaderboards.
Judging from the email itself, it will be a closed, very limited beta, and I don't imagine us Regular Joes will be able to play the game at all for a while yet, but it's great to know the MGS haven't abandoned the Primetime games altogether, and that live shows like this will be returning!
