Homefront Sequel Detailed

Not content with revealing details for Darksiders 2, THQ's Danny Bilson has now revealed details for a sequel to the upcoming Homefront. In an interview with Joystiq, he said:

"The sequel has new features and doesn't even deal with the same characters. It takes place on the other side of the Mississippi -- nobody knows what's going on over there because the North Koreans have irradiated the Mississippi with radioactive iodine and nobody can cross it without a hazmat suit. It's very interesting stuff."
An earlier announcement had already revealed that a novel will be released to flesh out the story of the first game. Written by John Milius and Raymond Benson, the novel will follow the story of an LA journalist during the moments of the first North Korean attack on the USA. Bilson confirmed that the novel will be released a month before the launch of Homefront. THQ are also hoping to film a TV mini-series for the game and this would follow the contents of the novel.

Homefront is currently due for release in March 2011.
