Rising Star Games and Triple Eh? are teaming up to bring us what they call "the first great game of 2016," the action-adventure Lumo
. Drawn from the mind of Gareth Noyce – former Ruffian co-founder, now head of Triple Eh? Ltd – Lumo has the kind of charm that absolutely anyone can enjoy. Consider it a fresh, modern take on the classic isometric adventure style, but also a love letter to the golden age of British game development (the 80s) and everyone that made it so great. Players can spend hours exploring over 400 rooms, finding secrets and solving puzzles, or they can hunt for all the subtle and not-so-subtle nods to the days of the Spectrum and beyond. What you get out of it is entirely down to you!Lumo
will be on display next week, September 24th-27th at the Eurogamer Expo (EGX) in Birmingham. If you're lucky enough to attend and want to get hands-on with the title, look for the Rising Star booth in the Rezzed Zone. Then you can let us know if Lumo is as great as the developers say.Lumo
will be coming to Xbox One sometime early next year.
