Vietnam Veteran Upset Over Black Ops Launch

By Jonathan Barnes, 6 years ago
Today is Veterans Day in the States and Remembrance Day in Canada and the UK. Traditionally, this is a day where citizens honor armed services personnel and veterans.'s also two days after launched.

One Canadian veteran seems to have a pretty big problem with this. In an interview with the Winnipeg Free Press, veteran Ron Parkes said:

I think it is very tacky to include the distribution of a graphic war-based game like this during a week that we are supposed to be honouring those who have fallen to the conflicts this game depicts.
While he may have a valid point, I think it's very short-sighted considering Activision has been releasing their Call of Duty games around this week for the past FIVE YEARS: - November 15, 2005 - November 7, 2006 - November 7, 2007 - November 11, 2008 - November 10, 2009

With that in mind, be sure to thank a soldier today.
