TA Stats - November 9th to 15th 2015

By Chewie, 11 months ago
This report is for the period November 9th to 15th 2015.

Welcome to the stats for the second full week of November here on TA where, for the fourth week running, we get a big franchise sequel.

The Big Numbers
115,864 TrueAchievements gamers started a total of 169,032 games between them (1,991 different games).

9,161 TrueAchievements gamers completed a total of 11,403 games between them (1,142 different games).

169,089 TrueAchievements gamers won a total of 2,139,672 achievements online between them (53,768 different achievements).

Xbox One
Unsurprisingly, Fallout 4 completely decimates the tables with over 63,000 starters, almost twice as many as Call of Duty: Black Ops III managed the previous week but 2,000 fewer than Halo 5: Guardians the week before. Naturally, it sweeps Achievements Won clean too. With a massive amount of stuff to do and a huge sandbox to do it in, it's no wonder it doesn't make Completed yet. Maybe in the weeks to come though.

The week's other big release, Rise of the Tomb Raider, takes a more moderate 13,600 starters whilst Star Wars Battlefront appears a full week early with 11,500 starters thanks to early access for EA Access members. Free to play puzzle title Gems of War takes fifth with almost 7,000 starters.

Easy Games with Gold freebie Pneuma: Breath of Life continues to dominate Completed while recent releases Halo 5: Guardians, Need for Speed and Assassin's Creed Syndicate all make apearances. Meanwhile, a sale on both the game and its DLC puts Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) into sixth with 300 completions.

Xbox 360
New release Rise of the Tomb Raider (Xbox 360) wallows in eighth with only 300 starters, just behind recent release Call of Duty: Black Ops III (Xbox 360). The reason for their low position is due to the current Games with Gold freebie, DiRT 3, and the newly offered Backwards Compatible titles, many of which are previous freebies themselves. Fallout 3 (which was also offered free with pre-orders of the sequel), Just Cause 2, Gears of War 3, Gears of War: Judgment, Assassin's Creed II, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Gears of War all take places with between 130 and 1,300 starters thanks to the program.

Destiny (Xbox 360) still leads on Completed as more people get to grips with the DLC whilst Barbie and her Sisters Puppy Rescue maintains a place in fifth after its appearance last week in its release week.

DiRT, Fallout and Just Cause all fight it out on Achievements Won with Gears 3 also grabbing a place on the bottom. If it wasn't for the single Just Cause spot in fifth, every single achievement would've been for a game ending in 3, which is...something.

Backwards Compatibility has a big impact on XBLA too, putting previous freebies Plants vs. Zombies and BattleBlock Theater at the top of the table, as well as Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Doom (Arcade), Jetpac Refuelled, Banjo-Kazooie, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX and Toy Soldiers: Cold War. As a very easy completion, Pac-Man also appears on Completed in seventh. The completions for Spartacus Legends ramp up since the news of the game's server closure. It jumps up to almost 90 completions in second. It's now surpassed the 1,000 total completions I set as a target last week so let's see if it can make it to 1,500 before the closure.

Recent release Trucking 3D (Win 8) stays high in third place on both Started and Completed. Otherwise, it's business as usual. Here's hoping for more new Windows releases soon.

Sales put Briquid Mini (WP) into the top of the table, grabbing four spots on Achievements Won. The rest of that table is taken up by second most started title, Runemals (WP). Trucking 3D (WP) takes third like on Windows, but its Completed position is way down in ninth.

Next week Star Wars Battlefront gets its full release to challenge all the recent big hitters. Maybe we'll do a Star Wars special, but maybe we won't because I'm bitter they didn't make me a playable character.
