DiRT Rally Confirmed For Consoles

By Joseph C, 10 months ago
We have good news today for all you rally racing fans out there looking for your next batch of hairpins to master, as Codemasters and Koch Media have announced that DiRT Rally, already available on Steam, will be releasing on consoles in April.

The Steam release today also saw the addition of the Winter Wonderland update, adding snow and ice racing in Sweden’s Varmland region. Codemasters has incorporated what they call ‘soft edge tech’ into the game to simulate the racing conditions in snowed-over tracks, allowing players to lean on the snow banks in the tougher corners to push for ever-faster lap times. There is no word on whether this update will be bundled into the launch version for consoles, or if it will be released later as a paid DLC or free title update. Check out the many screenshots as well as the PC launch trailer below and get ready to get your barrel-roll on.

DiRT Rally is set to skid onto consoles on April 5th, 2016.

36-year old married gamer, father to a fierce Boston Terrier but no humanoid children. I've been gaming practically my whole life, starting around when I was 5 or 6 years old with an Atari 2600 and progressing through nearly every console ever released apart from the Wii U. I'm a completionist by nature, but am trying to move away from chasing every-higher gamerscore and just focusing on enjoying the great games that are all around me. We'll see how successful I am. I've been on TA since 2009 but have become much more active on the site in the past couple of years, and look forward to seeing it grow now that the XB1 app is getting it some much-deserved exposure!
