The latest entry into the Tony Hawk series of games, has reportedly only sold 3,000 units during its first week of sales in the United States during the last week of October.

While Tony Hawk: SHRED has been better received than the previous installation in the franchise, it was called "a virtual no-show" at retail, while another Activision title, DJ Hero 2, also suffered low sales of 59,000 during its two weeks of sales.

Tony Hawk: SHRED developer Robomodo recently let 60 staff go when it revealed it would no longer be working on the franchise.

When not enjoying video games, our fearless newshound enjoys an nice pint of fermented barley and hops in a variety of styles. India Pale Ales, Stouts, Porters, Witbiers, Saisons, Gose, Lambics, Barleywine, you name it. If it has water, malted barley, hops and yeast in it, I'll consume it. I also enjoy all things technological, Doctor Who, wrasslin, traveling, and spending time with my family.
