New Game and Achievement Notifications

By Jack Watling, 8 months ago
Last week we added a pretty neat Site Wishlist Voting System to the site.

We've already had over 3,500 votes made, so we thought we should make good on our promise to start tackling the most requested features...

Three of the top five requested items are for new Game or Achievement Notifications - and we have just put them all live!

New Challenge Notification
Firstly, we have a new Challenge Notification option. With challenges being few and far between it's not always easy to know when new ones are released, especially with there being so many Xbox One titles! With this notification enabled, you'll be sent a message whenever new challenges appear for a game, ensuring you never miss one.

Server Closure Notification
Secondly, we have Server Closure Notifications. When closures are announced, which unfortunately doesn't always happen, we highlight the closure date on the appropriate game pages. Now you can also get a handy reminder message six months, three months, and one month prior to the closure by enabling this notification.

Unobtainable and Discontinued Achievement Flag Change Notifications
Lastly, for those with a Pro Subscription, you can choose to receive notifications for obtainable flag changes - this means you'll get a message (on a per game basis) whenever Discontinued or Unobtainable flags are either added or removed.

Each of these game notifications has four different frequencies you can set: No notifications, Games I've played, Games in my collection, or All games. These are set to No notifications by default, so don't forget to configure these over on your Site Settings page.

Have a good weekend!
