Days ago, Psyonix's vice president of marketing and communications teased the announcement that Rocket League
would be coming to stores as a physical release. Now, the full details of that release have been revealed. It won't just be a physical edition but, in fact, it will be called Rocket League: Collector's Edition
In the box with it will be the three DLC packs that also recently came included with the Xbox One release, as well as "retail-exclusive bonuses that have yet to be announced." Whether that means they'll be included for free and available for digital purchase for others or truly exclusive is not yet known.
Across three platforms, Rocket League boasts a community of 12 million players wordwide.
505 Games will be responsible for the boxed release. They stated that both publisher and developer see the game's success and believe there is "still a significant untapped segment of the gaming audience who become aware of products through physical retail". The Collector's Edition is due to arrive in Q3 2016.
