Ubisoft announced today that the most recent entry in their Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
, is set to receive a free DLC pack in the near future.
The "Animus Project Update 1.0" DLC focuses on expanding the multiplayer experience by adding one new game mode and one new map to the already available content. The new game mode, "Advanced Alliance", aims to increase the challenge of the Alliance mode by making target identification and engagement more difficult. The mode will feature three teams of two players and rewards the use of stealth in hunting down your targets.
The new map, Mont Saint-Michel, is notable for its use of narrow roads and multi-leveled architecture. Players will have to make the most of free run mode to traverse the new terrain.
Sebastian Puel, executive producer at Ubisoft Montreal shared the following statement:
We are very thrilled to be able to offer the first Multiplayer DLC for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for absolutely free. We wanted to say thank you to our fans for making Brotherhood such a huge success its opening week. We are very proud of the unique and innovative Multiplayer mode it offers, and hope the fans enjoy the new content.
