Leap Frog 2016 Details

By Dave Horobin, 6 months ago
Last year, we introduced a brand new community contest called Leap Frog which went on to be a huge success, with well over 2,000 of you signing up to take part. Today, we are excited to announce that the contest is back for a second year, but this time around we are using ratio instead of the number of achievements won to determine our overall winner.

Leap Frog 2016

What is Leap Frog?

The contest will begin at 09:00 UTC+0 on Tuesday May 3rd, and to register all you need to do is head over to the Leap Frog 2016 hub, and hit the "Register Now" button on the right-hand side of the page. Registration will close an hour before the contest starts.

Once registered, the goal of the contest is simple; you need to earn at least one achievement of the minimum required ratio before the 24-hour period expires. The required ratio will start at 1.0 on the first day, and will increase by 0.2 for each subsequent scoring period. For example, on day one, you will need to earn at least one achievement with a minimum ratio value of 1.0, on day two you will need to earn at least one achievement with a minimum ratio value of 1.2, day three will be 1.4, and so on. Failure to earn an achievement within the required ratio in the 24-hour time period will result in elimination from the competition, and we'll keep going until one gamer is crowned the Leap Frog 2016 winner.

The ratio of each achievement will be taken at the exact moment the unlock is scanned into TrueAchievements.

Which Achievements Count?

The achievement must be earned online and have a valid timestamp.
The achievement must be in a game/app that has a positive Gamerscore*.
Xbox One Challenges do not count.

A zero point achievement in a game which has an overall Gamerscore such as Go Get Some Sun in Call of Duty: World at War will count.

An app achievement which has a Gamerscore value above zero such as Wake Up! in VoiceStudio will count.

An achievement earned in an app where the total Gamerscore is zero such as Can’t Live Without It in TrueAchievements will not count.
