Xbox LIVE Rewards Rolling Out

By Saint Devourer, 6 years ago
Microsoft has just unveiled its brand new reward system for Xbox LIVE members, aptly named Xbox LIVE Rewards. It seems surprisingly simple, rewarding both Gold and Free members in the United States or in the United Kingdom with Microsoft Points for doing simple things such as renewing their Gold subscription and linking Netflix to their account.

You'll be happy to know that the points for renewing a Gold subscription can either be done through a credit card or a retail card. However, in typical Microsoft fashion, it'll take up to 30 days after earning your points for the points to be deposited into your account, and you'll have to earn at least 100 Microsoft Points that month, or otherwise they'll hold that balance until you've earned 100. But I suppose nothing is free, right?

Either way, it'll take up to 36 hours for your gamertag to be linked to your rewards, so if you're thinking of renewing Gold, you may want to wait on it a few days.
