Grand Theft Auto V
Online's "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony" is now live. The update includes plenty of new content like new challenges, vehicles and an adversary mode, plus the start of a new event week. Though we've been previewing
it for a few weeks, players can now take a detailed look at what's new in-game.
First up, since the new update is based around creating a business empire, players can now purchase executive suites. What could be more fitting for the head of a major crime organization? A full-time assistant, boardroom and helipad are included with these luxury properties, as well as storage space and an arcade game machine. An executive suite also gives access to the new SecuroServ Special Cargo Network, which is what you'll be using to purchase warehouses for storage and organize the trafficking of your product.
There are new missions called "Buy Missions," where players can purchase contraband in increasingly riskier scenarios. There are three categories of difficulty. "With greater risks – whether from the FIB, LSPD or rival player Organizations – come greater rewards," says Rockstar. Since there are Buy Missions, naturally there are also Sell Missions, which will involve transporting cargo safely from one location to the next.
All this expensive cargo will attract some unwanted attention, too. Stay vigilant as your warehouse could be attacked at any time by the gangs of Los Santos.
CEOs can also experience new objectives and challenges:
VIP WorkHeadhunter: Assassinate key targets across the map against the clock.
Airfreight: Liberate some valuable cargo from its armed guard and fly it to safety.
Haulage: Be the first to deliver a trailer full of tax-exempt merchandise to its wrongful owner.
VIP ChallengesCashing Out: Be the pack leader in the latest wave of ATM fraud to hit the streets of Los Santos.
Salvage: Compete to retrieve the most lost cargo from the ocean floor.
There are also new vehicles. Say hello to the HVY Brickade transport vehicle and the Bravado Rumpo Custom. There aren't just vehicles for work, though, enjoy new sports cars like the Pegassi Reaper, Vapid FMJ, Grotti Bestia GTS and Enus Windsor Drop. There is also a new plane and helicopter, the Buckingham Nimbus and the Volatus, and one new boat, the Tug. And don't forget to check your local Ammu-Nation for new weapons attachments, too.
Rockstar is also keeping their game mode variety high with another new adversary mode, Trading Places, described as the following:In the land of the Haves and the Have-Nots, this Adversary Mode is your chance to engage in some aggressive social climbing. The Winners team is destined for success, the Losers team is doomed to fail, and there’s only one way to move between the two: ruthlessly murder a Winner and take their place.
And, as promised, there is a new event week starting today, Tuesday, June 7th through June 13th.
