Halo Wars: Definitive Edition Announced

By Kevin Tavore,
Microsoft has been busy today detailing all the features of their new title Halo Wars 2 and its delay to 2017. Apparently there was no time to mention the upcoming remaster of the first game: Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.

The game was actually revealed as a footnote to the pre-order page for the Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition. As you can see, the Ultimate Edition comes with Halo Wars: Definitive Edition which will run natively (which means it's not backwards compatible) on Xbox One and, for the first time ever, on PC as well.

Details are sparse. All we know is that it runs on both platforms and it features improved graphics and all the DLC from the first game. We also know thanks to HaloWaypoint that it will contain "additional achievements."

It's not clear whether or not this will be available separately or if you must purchase the Ultimate Edition to gain access. We don't have a release date or a price. All we know is that it is coming.
