Steep Carves Up a New Gameplay Video

By Sam Quirke, 4 months ago
I'll admit that I was starting to get a little exhausted by the end of Ubisoft's lengthy conference, but then new IP Steep snuck in right at the finish and perked me up again. After an interesting trailer and gameplay demo, and a bunch of pretty screenshots, we've now got a more focused walkthrough of the game courtesy of UbiBlog editor Mikel Reparaz.

We see a simple equipment-switching system allowing for quick changes between wing-suit, skis, snowboard and paraglide. Reparaz talks about the control systems and the attention to detail on the soundscape (such as the rattling casing of your on-board camera). Finally, we see a bit more air-time with the para-glide, and how with it you can reach and land on parts of the mountain you could never reach on foot, allowing for unique downhill runs on your snowboard.

Steep is due in December.
