Steve Aoki Joins Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Team, Release Date Announced

By Kelly Packard,
Today the announcement in which Dragon Ball fans have been clamoring for years has been made — Steve Aoki will be contributing to the soundtrack for the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and will be joining the cast as a non-playable character (NPC).

Wait, that isn't the news you were expecting? Either way, it is an interesting mesh of Dragon Ball and popular music. The release date has been announced to boot.

Aoki, a Grammy-nominated artist known for his EDM tracks, will be remixing famous tracks already recognizable from Dragon Ball Z. Fans may remember such songs as "“Cha-La Head-Cha-La” and “We Gotta Power." He will also be able to be found in Xenoverse 2 as an NPC; look for him in the city of Conton.

"Having grown up with Dragon Ball, I jumped at the chance to contribute my talents and leave my personal impact on the series,” said Aoki.

Publisher Bandai Namco thinks fans are going to love the addition of Aoki. They're also calling Xenoverse 2 the "biggest and best Dragon Ball videogame experience to date." You can check out some more footage in the video below:

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be available on October 25th.
