The next crazy party game may have just arrived -- Sombrero
from PixelMetal is shaping up to be something to behold. PixelMetal calls it a "rapid-fire party game of spaghetti western mayhem," playable in both local and online multiplayer up to four players.
The premise of the game appears to be that you have a sombrero, a gun and dynamite as well as both the capability and desire to blow things up. It's a pure multiplayer title through and through. There are over two dozen playable characters, multiple game modes including traditional modes like Deathmatch and Capture the Flag, but also its own original modes entitled "Loot" and "Banditos," power-ups to be grabbed, environmental hazards to be avoided and more.
PixelMetal, which is another one of those tireless one-person developer teams that are surprisingly not uncommon in the indie scene, has already promised Sombrero
will boast free post-launch DLC and cameos featuring other indie game characters.
Sombrero doesn't yet have a set release date, but according to publisher Alliance Digital Media, we can expect it sometime this year.
