KUNOS Simulazioni and 505 Games have previously confirmed that the release of Assetto Corsa
on consoles will be stalled until August
. Despite that bad news, the developer and publisher have now revealed new footage of the upcoming racing simulation title.
The first trailer, below, gives a close-up look at the brand-new Ferrari 488 GT3. The new sports car features large side air intakes to get the best output from its 3.9-litre V8 twin-turbocharged prancing horses.
The Ferrari 488 GT3 has been introduced to supersede the equally stunning 458 Italia, and the new machine features alongside six of its fellow Italian automotive masterpieces in "The Red Pack" DLC for Assetto Corsa
. The entourage includes the Masterati 250F 12 Cylinder, the Lamborghini Aventador SV, and the Ferrari SF15-T Formula One car, with all seven available to be drooled over in the next trailer.
"The Red Pack" DLC video above stated that "life is too short not to be Italian" - if that's the case, then here's hoping that we don't have to wait too much longer for the game. "The Red Pack" DLC is already available on PC; however, it is still unclear whether this will be included in the main game or whether it will be a later addition.Assetto Corsa
is currently set for release on Xbox One on August 26th in Europe and August 30th in North America.
