Sega have confirmed that a Dreamcast Collection will be released after rumours of its existence appeared last month. In an interview in the January issue of Game Informer, Alan Pritchard, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Sega, confirmed the company's plans for their Dreamcast titles.
The Dreamcast fans are very devoted. You see on eBay people are still buying the games and system. We actually have a Dreamcast collection coming out soon. We are looking to bring some of the old Dreamcast games to market digitally and packaged. The Ultimate Genesis Collection did huge numbers on PS3 and 360, so it’s an important part of our business.
The titles that will be included in this collection have yet to be revealed. Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi have already been released on XBLA, and it has also been announced that SEGA Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5: Part 2 will be released in early 2011.
Gamestop originally had the collection slated for release on February 15th, 2011 before the listing was removed. Unfortunately, the official release date doesn't get any more specific than "soon".
