Animated Movie To Coincide With Dead Space 2

Electronic Arts and Anchor Bay Entertainment have jointly announced that they will be releasing an animated film to coincide with the release of hotly-anticipated horror shooter Dead Space 2, the sequel to 2008's critically acclaimed blockbuster Dead Space.

The official announcement describes the story which will unfold in the animated film:

In Dead Space Aftermath, the year is 2509 and not only has Earth lost contact with the USG Ishimura and Isaac Clarke, but also the USG O'Bannon, which is the first responder ship sent to rescue them. Four crew members of the O'Bannon have survived, but no one knows what happened to the rest of the crew, what they were doing, or what secrets they may be holding. All will be the Aftermath!

Dead Space: Aftermath will be released on January 25th, 2011, alongside the US release of Dead Space 2. European gamers will have to wait until January 28th to get their hands on Dead Space 2.
