Michael Bakari Jordan, an American actor known for his roles in Friday Night Lights, The Wire, and plenty more, has teamed up 2K Sports to star in NBA 2K17's MyCAREER mode. Alongside the announcement, a set of screens have been released showcasing MyCAREER mode and Michael in action. There's also two videos to watch to, one dedicated to the importance of kicks in the NBA and the other looks at arena authenticity.

2K Sports continue to call in the talent for their MyCAREER mode. Michael B. Jordan looks to impress his fans and maybe even gain a lot more with his input on the game:

NBA 2K17 was the perfect platform to connect with a new, unique audience and challenge myself to expand my abilities as an actor. I’m humbled at the opportunity to help influence a franchise that I’ve been a passionate fan of since its first release.
Alfie Brody, Vice President of Marketing for NBA 2K, looks to build on the positive responses from NBA 2K16's Spike-Lee featured MyCAREER mode:

We saw tremendous success and engagement among our fans in last year’s MyCAREER narrative, and wanted to deliver an even more tailored experience by partnering with Michael B. Jordan. Working with an actor of Michael’s caliber represents a commitment to giving our fans only the best and continuing to push ourselves as an entertainment platform.
In the mode, Michael will play the role of Justice Young, an NBA star in the making who teams up with your MyPlayer. Justice will serve as a friend and support system helping you along the way as you get to grips with playing in the NBA and make important choices that will effect outcomes on-and-off the Basketball court.

These MyCAREER screens showcase some of the things your player will get up to during your time with the NBA. Business meetings, trips to the Barbershop, a spot of gaming and plenty more can be seen in these screens:

Here's a couple of screens of Michael B. Jordan as Justice Young:

NBA's sneakers are a massive factor of the sport on-and-off the court. Some passionate sneaker heads would put more love and dedication into keeping their kick game right than they do their actual game on court. With such importance behind the shoes of the NBA, it's only right that 2K feels the same way in this trailer dubbed "Kicks Matter":

The 2K team took one hell of a trip across the US and visited all 30 NBA arenas to help deliver the most authentic experience possible in the game. Take a look at the trailer for the unique sounds and sights of the different arenas throughout America:

NBA 2K17 releases for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 16th.
