Deus Ex: Human Revolution Delayed

Square Enix have revised the release date for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and the game will now be released during the next fiscal year, from April 2011 onwards. The game was originally due to be released before the end of the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31st, 2011.

The company has also been forced to reduce their predicted sales figures for this year, due to weaker sales of their newly released console game titles, and "harsh market feedback" concerning a "key title", thought to be Final Fantasy XIV. Not wishing to incur a further drop in profits, Square Enix have decided to err on the side of caution and will be spending "additional time to further polish" Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Theoretically, as a firm release date had not been released for Deus Ex, the delay could be as little as a couple of weeks, and it is possible that we will see the game released in April 2011. However, until further announcements are made, you're just going to have to keep your interest ticking over with the director's cut version of the announcement trailer.
