IGA Delays Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night to 2018; Adds More Devs

By Kelly Packard, 1 month ago
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's original $500,000 Kickstarter goal now seems laughable since, as we know, the game proceeded to smash records by earning well over $5.5 million. Today we received another development update from its illustrious creator, Koji Igarashi of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night fame, known to his fans as IGA.

IGA had some good news and bad news for us. The good news: he's hiring a new development team to help make the game more awesome. The bad news: the exploration-focused platformer will likely be releasing in 2018 as opposed to the originally-planned March 2017. It's all subtitled, but if you like, you can check out the development update for yourself here.

It's a setback, but IGA fans have been clamoring for almost two decades for something to give them that Symphony of the Night feel. I think they'll be willing to wait a little longer.
