Furi Announced

Furi is a character action game from indie developer The Game Bakers. Originally available for PS4 where it scored a solid 4/5 in the official TrueTrophies review, the game is essentially a boss rush with a few bits of story and walking to mix it up. The game's highlights are certainly the high skill cap and the beautiful artwork.

If you enjoy a challenge in your action games, this one's definitely for you. There are no skills to unlock - you simply must have sufficient mastery of your abilities to kill your opponent. If I have your interest, here is a quote from the TT review discussing the combat:

Combat with these opponents frequently jumps fluidly between long range combat to close range melee. With the speed at which these encounters go, it'd be easy to mistake this game for a simple hack 'n slash. It isn't, though. These battles are duels that require precise timing, a keen eye, and expert control. An improperly timed attack could result in a parry that opens you up for a devastating blow. Failing to notice which animations indicate a delayed attack could be the difference between a successful parry and death. Misjudging the distance or direction of a dodge can easily result in several hits instead of just one.
The announcement confirmed that, not only is the game coming, but it will also include one additional boss battle as a bonus. While the announcement didn't contain any Xbox gameplay, there is the launch trailer from its first release that can give you an idea of what to expect.

Furi currently has no release date, but it's definitely coming to Xbox One.
