Streaming, video making, e-sports and various other contests, tournaments, and competitions are getting bigger and much easier to use for everyone, from the die-hard gamers to the casuals. DICE will be looking to boost the experience of all of the above factors for Xbox One users with a fresh and new spectator mode experience in Battlefield 1.

Battlefield 1 Spectator Mode Screen

If you're unfamiliar with Spectator mode, the mode will allow for players to join a match in progress as a spectator. This allows for players to enjoy the match, take screens, capture video content, and even host streams showcasing tournaments or contests. You may remember Spectator mode being a part of Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 4 but this time around, DICE will be looking to make it even better with new features that will benefit those who love to stream, create cinematic content, or just sit back and watch the game.

Players will be able to switch between the different view modes (first-person, third-person and free camera). Spectator mode will be much easier to use and for those who want to add that extra polish to their spectator projects, multiple cameras will be available with shortcuts and easy-to-use options. Take a look at a couple of videos showcasing the Spectator mode and its features from Battlefield community members ShadowSix and Berduu respectively:

Five new videos have also been released showcasing the different stories that will be on offer in the game's single player. Whether on land, in the sea, or up in the air, there's a story that takes place everywhere:

Battlefield 1 comes to the Xbox One on October 21st. Spectator Mode will be available in an update "soon after launch".
