King's Quest Finale Dated; Retail Collection Announced

After being introduced almost a year and a half ago, King's Quest's story will conclude with its finale at the end of this month. A retail edition has also been announced for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 to release on the same date.

"Chapter 5: The Good Knight" brings into question the validity of King Graham's memories as he grows older and his health continues to decline. Nonetheless, he is preparing to go on one last adventure. A set of screenshots have been released for the final episode:

Matt Korba, President and Creative Director of The Odd Gentlemen, said the following of the series:

Watching King Graham grow up through each chapter has been surreal for our team, as we ourselves have grown as game developers and humans right beside him. It's a rare opportunity to be able to cover the lifetime of a character in one series of a video game, and as we approach the end, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the final pages of this vision of King Graham's journey.
A retail edition of King's Quest: The Complete Collection has also been announced to release on the same date, featuring all five episodes and a bonus epilogue. The collection is comparable to Telltale's season pass discs and will require more or less downloading depending on the system for which you purchase it. The Xbox One and PS4 disc copies will have the first four episodes on the disc and will require the rest of the content to be downloaded. The Xbox 360 retail version will only feature the first episode, and all additional episodes will require a download.

King's Quest "Chapter 5: The Good Knight" and the retail editions of King's Quest: The Complete Collection will be available on October 25th.
