Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Teams Up With Lewis Hamilton

By Ashley Woodcock,
Lewis Hamilton, a three time British Formula One Racing champion with his last two wins coming from 2014 and 2015, has bagged himself a cameo appearance in Activision and Infinity Ward's upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The reigning World Champion will play the role of an engineer aboard the Retribution. This particular warship is amongst the small number that's left after their fleet suffers heavy losses during an attack in the game's opening moments.

Lewis Hamilton is honoured to be a part of the game:

I’ve been a Call of Duty fan for long time, so it’s an absolute honour to be part of this game and the franchise. The experience of being put into the game – from the facial scanning process to working with the team on the performance capture stage and just being able to meet the developers at the studio to get a glimpse at all the hard work that goes into the game – this has been an incredible experience.
Infinity Ward believed Lewis would nail his part the same way he has been doing on the circuits. The team's own narrative director, Taylor Kurosaki, shares the team's happiness:

Everyone at Infinity Ward was excited to work with Lewis since we’re all huge fans of his. He came to Call of Duty with the same approach he takes to the racetrack, determined to nail his performance – which he absolutely did!
Take a look at Lewis in action as he takes on his new-found role of Kevin Weinstein:

Here's how Lewis will look in-game:

A fan-favourite map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 makes a return in Infinite Warfare as players can run, jump and gun around Terminal. The re-imagined take of the classic map will see players doing battle at a spaceport on the Moon. Take a look at a couple of screens of the map followed by the official trailer:

Those participating in the currently live multiplayer beta will be able to get an early look at the bonus map. Those who've pre-ordered the game will gain access to the Terminal Bonus map on day one.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be available on the Xbox One on November 4th.
