Rock Band Country Track Pack 2 Detailed

By Rebecca Smith, 5 years ago
Harmonix have announced that Rock Band Country Track Pack 2 will be released on February 1st, 2011, after numerous store listings had started rumours of its appearance. There are 21 songs on the disc:

• Billy Currington – “That’s How Country Boys Roll”
• Chely Wright – “Single White Female”
• Darius Rucker – “Alright”
• Darryl Worley – “Awful Beautiful Life”
• Dierks Bentley – “Sideways”
• Dwight Yoakam – “Intentional Heartache”
• Gary Allan – “Man of Me”
• George Strait – “Twang”
• Jason Aldean – “Crazy Town”
• Johnny Cash – “Ring of Fire”
• Justin Moore – “Backwoods”
• Keith Urban – “Kiss a Girl”
• Lady Antebellum – “Perfect Day”
• Laura Bell Bundy – “Giddy On Up”
• Luke Bryan – “Rain Is a Good Thing”
• Merle Haggard – “Mama Tried”
• Rascal Flatts – “Summer Nights”
• Reba McEntire – “The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia”
• Shania Twain – “Party for Two (With Billy Currington)”
• Sugarland – “Settlin’”
• Trace Adkins – “Ride”

Many of these songs are exclusive to the disc for a set period of time, but will eventually be appearing as DLC in the Rock Band Music Store. As with previous song packs, the songs can be played on the disc, or the pack will include a one-time use code to download the tracks to your hard drive for free. After they have been downloaded, the songs will appear in your Music Library for Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and Rock Band 3, and can be used in custom setlists and all game modes.

As is the standard with Rock Band software, the disc is "compatible with all Rock Band instrument controllers, as well as most Guitar Hero and other third-party video game instrument controllers". The new tracks feature harmony vocals and the new Pro Drums mode, but these are only accessible if the songs are exported; this is because the disc pack is based on the RB1 engine. Unfortunately it looks like they do not include keyboard, Pro Guitar or Pro Bass notations, and Harmonix currently do not have any plans to add these modes in the future.

The track pack will cost $29.99 in the US. It is unconfirmed whether the track pack will be ported to other regions.
