Sega announced today that the upcoming installment in their Virtua Tennis franchise, Virtua Tennis 4, will be coming to the Xbox 360 later this year and is going to feature many recognizable names from the world of tennis such as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray.

Developed by the original team behind the Virtua Tennis series, Virtua Tennis 4 is being designed to include Kinect compatibility. Don't fret, non-Kinect owners, as the game is also going to be fully playable on your standard 360 controller.

Virtua Tennis 4 will introduce a new World Tour mode which not only involves your on-the-court play, but your off-court fame as well. By including both elements, Sega promises that "no two careers will ever be the the same". The title will also introduce new on-court features such as a Match Momentum gauge which players can build up during the course of a match and gain "improved ability as their players grow in confidence".

Sega included details about the Online Mode as well:

The new Online Mode offers an invigorating experience with the choice of a competitive and casual area to suit all players. This new hub will be the most engaging online experience for tennis gamers ever, promising a more competitive matchmaking system and online tournaments geared to seeking out the ultimate Virtua Tennis Champion.
