Dragon Age II 'Champion' Trailer

Dragon Age II 'Champion' Trailer

Warrior, mage or rogue?

Written by PunkyLiar on 10 February 11 at 22:41

In Dragon Age II, protagonist Hawke will take on the role of one of three characters - the armoured warrior with his trusty sword, the mage with his spell-slinging staff, or the athletic rogue who dual-wields curved daggers. The decision is up to you, the player. To help you make this decision, EA Vision has released a trailer showcasing the three classes in action:

The trailer also reminds you to pre-order the game if you want to own the Lion of Orlais Shield and the Fadeshear Sword.

Dragon Age II is due for release on March 8th, 2011 in North America and March 11th in Europe. A demo for the game will be available for download on February 22nd.

Looks boring. I'm sure I'd be excited if I'd got around to playing the first one (which I do own), that said I can't see this trailer making any gamer, who doesn't know what the games are like, wanting to try the game. Wow I get to pick some different classes and it has dragons...so? Standard RPG fare. Tell me what's new and different about your title not how incredibly similar it is to the same old same old RPG cliches we've had for years.

I give this trailer 0.5/10.

MAGE! Mage FTW.

For me, I've always been a warrior/soldier class in every game. Mass Effect (1&2), Borderlands, Dragon Age, Battlefield:BC, Star Wars: Battlefront, etc..
If your here, then who did I kill?

Yeah, disliking a trailer... no, it's true, you got me: I hate all trailers and not just the poorly made/judged ones. Infact I'm in treatment for my aggressive trailerism.

I wonder if it's possible to break the game with a Rogue this time around? :p

And as much of a zealot as I am about this game, I do agree.

Bad, bad trailer.

no no I mean Headfix hates RPGS so he has to come into a thread based on an RPG and hate it.

Yup... nothing hidden there.
But I will agree with you guys, after another view of the trailer I have to admit... it is kind of meh.
iHeartSlampigs - Infernal on Revelations is already more of a challenge than both Resident Evil 5/6 combined...squared.

Looks like a pretty good trailer. Don't listen to Hedfix rant about why he doesn't like RPGs...Don't understand why he comments on a thread about an RPG just to hate on it though. Guess some people just don't have better things to do...
Big sama - I guess since our team didn't make I should play all the games I was saving.

Wow 3 options that were in the original! I can't believe that's 0 more than last game. You would think that since they are stealing the DND playbook they would at least introduce monks, rangers, or paladins as core classes.

Obviously I'll be playing all three. The question is which first. Hm... I'd say Rogue. Was thinking Warrior for a while, but what made me go the other way is I want to have the lockpick skill. I don't want to depend on another, and have my party decided by this fact.
