Medal of Honor Sequel Confirmed

Developer Danger Close reveal sequel to 2010's MOH

Written by zigs00 on 19 February 11 at 00:54

Yes smarty pants, Medal of Honor already had a sequel - hell of a lot of them in fact. But it has today been confirmed that we'll be seeing a sequel to last year's series reboot Medal of Honor.

In a blog post on the game's official page, the game's Executive Producer Greg Goodrich revealed that Danger Close are currently working on a untitled sequel to MOH, thanks to the game's success (over five million copies sold to date).

Teasing that it will be a "fun ride" for the franchise, Goodrich said the following about the series:

We wanted to take a moment to thank each of you for supporting us, our new studio and our storied franchise. We would especially like to thank all of the long time Medal of Honor fans out there who have stuck with us over the years.

Since our launch last October, we've studied, listened and absorbed much of your feedback and are very excited to be marching forward on the next title.

As you all know, our goal was to tell the story of today's soldier and to do so with the utmost respect and reverence. We’ve received many letters, emails and messages from active servicemen and women from around the world, along with veterans and their families, with appreciation for our recent depiction of their community. I can't tell you how important this is to everyone here at Danger Close Games. You are the heartbeat of this team and this franchise and we are privileged and honored to tell your story. Medal of Honor has always been fueled by the passion of our fans and the commitment and sacrifice shown by the men and women of our armed services.
EA's Danger Close studio developed the single player for MOH, and will continue that role on the next game. It hasn't yet been confirmed whether DICE will return, who handled multiplayer duties for the game.

No other details about the game have been announced yet.

I liked this game, although the single player was a little short though.

Game overall wasn't bad....enjoyed the singleplayer and hard wasn't that difficult but there is alot to be desired in multiplayer before it challenges the juggarnauts of call of duty and bad company 2.

The campaign for the first one was amazing, one of the best for this console. I'll at least give this a rent, regardless of the multiplayer.

I loved the single player for the first one even thought it was very short. I didn't care for the multi-player but I do hope they can do a better job in the sequel.
Screw online achievements.

This is just weird timing. I got an email about four hours ago saying that Medal of Honor is on its way from GameFly. I guess I'll figure out whether I should care about this news or dismiss the series as more forgettable wartime FPS sludge.

Last MOH was a joke...single player seemed easy even on hard and was super short. Multiplayer was a ghost town and had too many bad design decisions

well, their last game really wasnt good on the multiplayer. i enjoyed the single player, but online play needs huge work done, from spawns to gameplay balance.

I got the first one for Christmas this year and didn't mind it at all. SP was way to short for me, just as I was getting into it, it was over.
