Madden 12 Cover Athlete To Be Picked By Fans

By Michelle Balsan, 5 years ago
Ever find yourself frustrated that your favorite NFL athlete didn't make the front cover of the Madden NFL franchise game for that year? Scoff when Brett Favre was chosen to be on the game's cover in 2009 over your favorite Quarterback? Don't want your guy to be picked lest he suffer the fate of Eddie George and Daunte Culpepper with regard to their post game-cover statistics?

ESPN and EA have teamed up to allow fan voting for this year's cover athlete. Each team in the NFL is represented by one player. Round one of voting concludes March 27th. The winners move through to Round 2 which will be completed on April 3rd. Round 3 will run April 4th-April10th. The week-long Semifinals voting will be tallied on April 17th and the final two will battle it out until April 26th, when the winner will be announced.

Just remember, as much as you may want to see your favorite player on the cover of Madden NFL 12, history has not always been kind to those given the distinction, so vote wisely!

While no release information is available for Madden 12 just yet, it has been confirmed the game will be released irrespective of whether or not there is a lockout this year.
