Two More NCAA Football 12 Videos Released

Running the rule over presentation and gameplay!

Written by KeithBGray on 21 April 11 at 17:51

Following Tuesday's Cover Star announcement, EA Sports has decided to hit us, like a bone-crunching tackle, by releasing two more trailers for the latest iteration in the NCAA franchise, NCAA Football 12.

First, the presentation enhancements take the field (or pitch!):

The second trailer features gameplay footage from the title. The "all-new tackling system" (as mentioned in the previous article), is shown in great depth; however, you should bear in mind that the action is still a "work in progress":

NCAA Football 12 is set to touchdown in North America on July 12, 2011.

I find myself getting tired of the continual race to improve, myself. However, I think I'm going to stick to Madden for a season or two, and leave NCAA back on the shelf. Even Madden takes part in the same race...

I haven't played a sports game for my Xbox in years. This doesn't look like it's going to change that.

Typical NCAA/Madden look how we "improved how it looks". Same game different year. Although the tackling does finally look improved. EA needs to take a year off and just put out DLC rosters and rebuild both franchises during the extra year.

But then we will have to get NCAA 2013 to see how TCU moving to the Big East changes things as well.

This game looks pretty good.
But I've still got to get '10 before I get '11.
I like doing them/playing them in order.

Sad to see the exploit I've used since Madden '92 has finally been taken away. No more quick passes to the sideline for major yardage.
iHeartSlampigs - I was pulling for you Microsoft, I really was. Sony has stolen the momentum, who knows what will happen next?

Don't understand all the hate on these games. Just appreciate what is there and if you don't find it worth $60 nobody said you have to pay for it...Just wait for the games like most people do, including myself.

I had more luck with TE routes over the middle than I did in the flats in last year's NCAA. Looks like another winner, I don't know why people don't just drop Madden and play NCAA, it's just an all around better football game.

Looks gorgeous. But I'm waiting to see the NHL 12 improvements. I hope to god they've done some of this work on that series, we're still running the same engine at NHL 07 for christ sakes.

I have to say the new lighting system looks astounding. The tackles look pretty good too, but I'm perfectly content to stick with Madden 08 for my football fix.

If there was a way to turn it off and ensure you still got the quality of recruit that your school normally recruits, then this would be a game I'd consider over Madden. Until then, not even close. I can never speak for the masses, but that is my reason.

Granted, I leave the recruiting difficulty on varsity, so maybe that's the difference -- but I still got the #1 recruiting class cheevo just by letting the game recruit for me.

Not trying to say you're wrong or anything, or that your points are invalid, but from my experience the game pulls down pretty solid classes, at least on the lower settings.
