UK Deal Roundup for May 3rd, 2011

By Rebecca Smith, 5 years ago
The celebration of the Royal Wedding over the Bank Holiday weekend has meant that many retailers have started themed sales. When I looked the last time, we didn’t have any wedding games on the Xbox 360, so you’ll struggle to find the link between some of these games and the Royal Wedding Deals to which they’re attached.

Several of last week’s sales continue for another week. These include:
• Up to 70% off selected games at
GAME’s Spring Sale.
Gameplay’s Easter Sale.
• The Big Sale at Gamestation.
• Two games for £20 at, and their Easter Clearance.
• The Weekly Special at, their Star Buys, and the sale on select EA games.
• The Bank Holiday Bonanza Super6Deals codes at, and their offer of two games for £25, which is also running at sister store Zavvi.

To start off the new sales of the week, Asda are holding a Spring Sale at the moment, with over 70 titles to choose from. Although the games don’t seem that cheap at first glance, buyers will get an extra 10% off at the basket when the code SPRING10 is entered. With this code, Asda is the cheapest retailer for several titles, including:
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (Xbox 360)£17.91 £16.12
Kinectimals£17.91 £16.12
Fighters Uncaged£17.91 £16.12
Ninety-Nine Nights II£12.91 £11.62
R.U.S.E.£9.91 £8.92

GAME has a “Grab a Right Royal Deal” promotion running at the moment. Operation Flashpoint: Red River is currently £27.98, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can be purchased pre-owned for £7.99.

Sainsburys have Spring Deals on over 20 Xbox 360 titles. Notable bargains include:
Section 8 - £4.99
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - £4.99
Stoked - £5.99
You're in the Movies with Xbox LIVE camera - £5.99
WarTech: Senko no Ronde - £5.99 has a Royal Wedding Celebration sale with several notable bargains:
MotoGP 10/11 - £19.85 - £24.85
Deathsmiles Deluxe Edition - £12.85 - £19.85

The Game Collection currently has Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands for £6.99 as a Royal Wedding Special. Achievement aficionados will also be pleased to hear that Truth or Lies is a Hot Deal at only £1.99.

All prices were correct at the time of writing.
