Winter Stars Announced

The chance that there would be a Kinect game based on winter sports was near certain. Deep Silver has announced that they will be publishing Winter Stars, a game that sees players able to compete in 11 winter sport disciplines: paraskiing, curling, snowmobile, bobsled, downhill skiing, figure skating, biathlon, freeride skiing, snowboard cross, ski flying, and short-track.

The single player mode not only features a career system and character development, but players can participate in special challenges such as "training sessions that provide arcade-style enjoyment in between events". Experience points can be used to buy new equipment and improve skills.

The game will support up to four players online and offline in competitions for championship titles, or simply in a variety of mini-games. The "family mode" will allow each player to choose their own difficulty level, so that new and experienced games can compete with an even chance for either to succeed.
