E3 2011: BioShock Infinite Teaser Trailer

E3 2011: BioShock Infinite Teaser Trailer

Made from 100% in-game footage!

Written by osubluejacket on 07 June 11 at 11:59

Yesterday was like a delicious blizzard of awesome with big-time announcements, reveals and trailers for your eyes to drink in like the sweet nectar of a cold Strongbow on a hot day.

Late last night, Irrational Games jumped into the fray with the latest teaser trailer for BioShock Infinite. Compose entirely from in-game footage, the trailer gives you a taste of what is in store for Columbia, Booker and Elizabeth.

BioShock Infinite is still (too far away) set for a Holiday 2012 release.

Aw.. I'm really worried that this is going to entirely lose the appeal the first two had.

I mean, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw reviews bashing Bioshock 2 for being too similar to the first... I hate to be a purist but this is too far. Also, and I'm aware of how stupid this sounds when you keep in mind that the whole first game was, but I'm worried it's going to become too scripted. Scripts are fine when you're in a tunnel-esque city with choke points and perfectly designed to accomodate scripted sequences.. But with the massive scale afforded during parts of this game, I fear the scripted parts are going to either stand out like a sore thumb, or their absence will.
No survivor is safe from Zombie Deej!

I respect your opinion, but have to say I have WAY more faith in Infinite than I did with BioShock 2 (which was a slight disappointment, in my opinion) at this point. With the original team at Irrational at the helm again, I feel like this game will be back on par with BioShock.

This game looks great, I believe it has a good shot for Game of the Show but I still think Skyrim will win.

Bioshock is a great series and I'm glad that we get to see another part of that universe. Even if the game is still far out I wish that Irrational Games talked a little bit about the multiplayer. I had lots of fun with Bioshock 2 online, can't wait to see what it will look like in Columbia.
Draconic Lord - I still didn't finish SM and I already want a sequel. Bring more Warhammer 40K love!!

OH YES!! Bioshock strikes again with a BANG!

I hope this one has the same "OMFG" feeling that the first had.

you make a fair point, some of the gameplay will be scripted but i have a lot of faith in it being mixed into the game effectively with the open world side of the game. plus this game looks amazing to play already, yet theres still a year and half till its release.. and the inevitable delays.

The bright colors remind me so much of Bulletstorm. It's just kind of weird to me seeing a Bioshock game not set in Rapture, but I'm sure it's going to be a blast no matter where it's set.
