E3 2011: Fruit Ninja Officially Announced

While it was just revealed as part of this year's Summer of Arcade lineup, Halfbrick Studios just passed down the official confirmation of Fruit Ninja Kinect.

Fruit Ninja Kinect looks to bring the simple gameplay of Fruit Ninja (WP) to full body control, while also adding new gameplay and unlockable content.

The title will feature three single player modes. In the Classic Mode, players will be tasked with slicing away for the highest score while avoiding bombs. In the Zen Mode, you'll be given 90 seconds to 'serenely slice' your way through various fruits. Finally, there is an Arcade Mode which will include various power ups. Co-op gameplay will be available for two players, however you can only access it locally.

Several screens and a trailer were also released to show off Fruit Ninja Kinect.
