Gears of War 3 Console To Be GAME Exclusive

Update

AceMcCloud has informed us that the Limited Edition Gears of War 3 console is, in fact, available from GAME or Gamestation (because that's GAME's sister store!).

Now, safe in the knowledge, that more LE consoles will be available, all you need to decide is where to buy yours.

Purchasing the hardware in GAME will provide Dom as an exclusive multiplayer character. However, if you prefer, you can exclusively unlock Savage Grenadier Elite by picking up your console in Gamestation instead.

Original Story

After the Limited Edition console was announced last month, the very sexy looking Limited Edition Gears of War 3 Console complete with two Gears 3 blood red controllers, is now available for pre-order exclusively from UK gaming retailer GAME.

The sweet console comes with 320GB worth of memory and will be released alongside the highly anticipated shooter Gears of War 3. This beauty will set you back £269.99:

Those interested can also pre-order in-store if preferred, but this option will only be available next week.

If you're a bit like me and really shouldn't be spending that amount of money and somehow CAN resist the temptation to pre-order, then there are packages without the console available that are worth looking at, too. These are the Limited & Epic Editions and the Retro Lancer Bundle.

Sure is going to be an expensive run up to Christmas.

Gears of War 3 and the Limited Edition console are set for release on September 20th, 2011.

Pre-Ordered mine, not sure yet whether this will come with the Comando Dom pre-order dlc, but you do get Omen Skins in it.

talk about wanting to rip fans off,love gears but no way am i paying £270 for a console just because it says gears of war on, think il stick to my black slim

You get Infected Omen skins and Adam Fenix MP skin. You will be able to order the controllers seperately in time.

This is probably one of the better things I've seen them announce all year. While the price tag is a bit steep, it does come with Gears 3 and 2 Transformer Controllers (Which aren't lacking colour like the regular ones).

Hell, I would say it's a much better deal then say a big plastic replica but then what would I know.
