Electronic Arts revealed today that Criterion Games is returning Burnout to its roots, focusing on the series’ fan-favorite Crash mode, as Burnout CRASH!
is currently in development for XBLA.Burnout CRASH!
invites players to wreak havoc behind the wheel as they crash into and destroy everything in sight. Autolog technology makes its return as well, allowing players to compete against each other to see who can cause the most damage.
The game will feature "three explosive game modes available across 18 crash junctions in six unique locations". As we've come to expect from the team behind Burnout, there will be a variety of cars to unlock, targets to destroy and other surprise features to be discovered.
