TimeGate Studios has announced the arrival of the free Skirmish mode for and Section 8: Prejudice (PC).

Skirmish Mode is a new take on team deathmatch. The 8th Armored Infantry takes on the might of the Arm of Orion, with Victory points awarded for every kill or completed DCM. However, players will be unable to capture or hack Control Points in this game mode.

Skirmish Mode now brings the total number of game modes to five in Section 8: Prejudice, including the single-player campaign. To celebrate the release of this game mode, TimeGate studios is hosting a 'Game with Developers' session from 5-8 PM ET on Sunday, July 31st. Players need to be ready to play at least 30 minutes before the event starts. If you want to join in, you'll have to send a friend request or request for an invite to these gamertags:

The "Frontier Colonies Map Pack" DLC has now been released a day later than planned for Section 8: Prejudice (PC), although it appears that the DLC does not add any new achievements, unlike its counterpart on Xbox LIVE Arcade. Just to serve as a quick reminder:

The Frontier Colonies map pack comes with two new multiplayer maps, Desolation and Overseer. Desolation is a parched desert world haunted by the remains of a failed colonization attempt. Overseer is home to military facilities overlooking a habitable forest valley. Each map is playable in both multiplayer and offline play for all game modes.
The DLC costs $3.99 / £2.75 and is available to download from here.
