Battlefield 3 Co-op Details, Screens, and Video

By Mark Delaney,
Unless you've just awoken from a coma, you know that this fall is slated with huge releases just about every week or two. For many gamers, no game is more eagerly anticipated than Battlefield 3. Along with a compelling campaign and tactical multiplayer, BF3 also promises a new co-op campaign which will have you and a friend squadmate performing objectives in levels separate from the single-player story.

At Gamescom, DICE was able to showcase a bit of this co-op gameplay on an urban map, alternating between humvee-filled streets and narrow alleyways.

The presenters also revealed that the co-op mode, like the multiplayer modes, would be compatible with their stat-tracker, Battlelog. Using Battlelog for co-op will allow players to compare scores with friends and the rest of the world to try and beat their times, as well as track their own performance.

With the footage were some more beautiful screenshots of Battlefield 3 to tease anxious fans even more.
