The Adventures of Tintin Gamescom Trailer

The Secret of the Unicorn needs to be solved

Later this year, the film of The Adventures of Tintin is due to be released in theatres and cinemas worldwide. Inevitably, it is accompanied by a game tie-in, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn. Players will be able to venture through some recognisable settings from the film, including ‘The Karaboudjan’ (Captain Archibald Haddock’s ship), Omar Ben Salaad’s Palace and the exotic city of Bagghar.

As well as the single player campaign, the game will also have cooperative challenges for two players on maps specifically designed for multiplayer gameplay. These challenges allow players to assume the role of many classic characters from Tintin’s adventures. Both the single player campaign and the co-op modes are demonstrated in this trailer released from the Gamescom event.

Maybe it's just me, but I never really associated Tintin with the ability to head butt or body slam people, nor set them on fire. Maybe I need to do a bit more reading...

At first I thought Tintin was the dog from Alice in Wonderland, but thats actually toto. Would have made an interesting game though.

Ubisoft's use of style and varied combat should hopefully make this a lot more than a quick cash-in. They might springboard off of this and make the books into games aswell or develop their own games afterwards.

It could be the start of a long running series if they get it right.

anyways..this just isn't right. Tintin is supposed to be in french and all the english voices are wrong :/
