Dungeon Defenders Release Date Announced

By Michelle Balsan, 5 years ago
D3Publisher, Reverb Publishing and Trendy Entertainment announced today that Dungeon Defenders will be headed to XBLA this fall, and they've just released a trailer featuring the squire, one of the game's characters, going about his work to celebrate this fact.

Dungeon Defenders is a hybrid action-RPG/tower defense title. The game includes four player co-op wherein each player controls one of four distinct classes as they work together to fight an ancient evil. The co-op in the game is of the drop-in/drop-out variety, so any number of people from one through four can enjoy the action. You can check out our previous coverage for more of the classes: The Apprentice and The Huntress.

Jeremy Stieglitz, COO and co-founder of Trendy Entertainment, had the following to say about the title:
It’s been a long time coming, but the day is finally here to announce when we’ll be unleashing the full console version of Dungeon Defenders upon the masses, and we couldn’t be happier. The console version of Dungeon Defenders has more content, more depth and more challenge than many full retail boxed games, so we can’t wait to get it into players’ hands so they can experience this epic role playing game as it was intended to be played.
Dungeon Defenders will be released on XBLA on October 19th. No price has been officially set.
