NBA 2K12 Reveals Teams for Legends Mode

NBA fans and sports gamers have surely by now been informed of the exciting NBA's Greatest Mode in NBA 2K12, which will allow players to unlock fifteen legends to use in other game modes. What wasn't revealed was how unlocking the legends would actually work. Now, that part is clear. To unlock Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, and the rest of the legends, players will need to re-enact classic NBA games, similar to how gamers completed the Jordan Challenge in last year's game.

What all of this means is that for each player in the NBA's Greatest Mode, there will be at least one full, historic roster to play with. In total, there are 34 full team rosters dating from the 1964-65 Celtics all the way to the 2001-02 Sacramento Kings.

The cause for the Sir Charles-less roster hasn't been revealed by either Barkley or 2K Sports. There seemed to be a breakdown in communication and possibly contractual negotiations, but 2K Sports promises they're still on good terms with Barkley and hope to include him in future games.
