Fallout: New Vegas Lonesome Road DLC Dated

Two smaller packs coming too

The fourth story-based DLC for Fallout: New Vegas has finally received a release date. After being delayed from its original date in July, "Lonesome Road" is now set to release in September. As well as this add-on there will be two smaller content bundles also releasing during the same month.

Here's a quick reminder of the storyline for "Lonesome Road":

In Lonesome Road you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas. Ulysses promises the answer as to why he didn’t take the job, but only if you make one last journey into the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. It's up to you whether you take the job or not.Bethesda has also released a handful of screenshots for the DLC:

As well as "Lonesome Road", two more content packs will also be releasing soon. The first is "Courier's Stash", which is a collection of the pre-order bonus packs:

Courier’s Stash gives players immediate access to four content bundles previously available only through pre-ordering Fallout: New Vegas. The Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack and Tribal Pack each offer unique weapons, apparel and aid advantages that will help you throughout your journey.The second is "Gun Runner's Arsenal", which increases the range of unique weapons, weapon mods, ammo types and recipes that players can uncover across the Mojave Wasteland. "Lonesome Road" is due to be released on September 20th and will cost 800 MSP. "Courier's Stash" and "Gun Runner's Arsenal" are both due to release on September 27th. "Courier's Stash" will cost 160 MSP, whereas "Gun Runner's Arsenal" will cost 320 MSP.

Those non-story content packs should've been released before the first DLC. I doubt I'll pay for them at this late stage in the game.

All the more reason for me to wait to get the GOTY edition for the 360 as I did with F03.

(Got the collectors' edition for the PC when it was released, again as I did with F03, and have enjoyed it - not seen a single non-insect bug since day one).

OT: But I agree, not the smartest move to set the DLC on the release of Gears 3, because I will play Gears 3 for months! And I don't think that people will buy the DLC when they get Gears 3 on the same day... so that is a really bad move, I wish they could release it a couple days earier, enough time for me to complete it, and then it is Gears time!
